Lexus RX 350 and RX 450h Win U.S. News & World Report’s 2013 Best Cars for the Money Award

Lexus took top spot in two segments of U.S. News and World Report’s 2013 Best Cars for the Money Awards. The Lexus RX 350 was selected as the “Best Luxury 2-Row Midsize SUV for the Money,” and the RX 450h was named the “Best Hybrid SUV for the Money.” TrueCar.com and U.S. News Best Car utilize and combine data such as the average price of a vehicle with the five-year cost of ownership as criteria for these awards.

Lexus Vice President, Mark Templin, shared his thoughts Lexus’ achievements, “We are very proud that the RX 350 and RX 450h won their segments in U.S. News & World Report’s 2013 Best Car for the Money awards. The RX created the luxury crossover category in 1998 and these awards show how Lexus continues to deliver industry leading quality at a great value to our customers.”

Lexus continues to deliver quality vehicles, a fact that is solidified by these accolades. The RX 450h won this award for the second successive year, and the RX 350 is on a five year winning streak.

Lexus Ranks Highest in 2013 J.D. Power and Associates Vehicle Dependability Study for the 2nd Consecutive Year

Lexus is the most dependable brand according to J.D. Power and Associates. Lexus has achieved this top honor for the second consecutive year by ranking the highest among all nameplates in the 2013 J.D. Power and Associates Vehicle Dependability Study. Setting the bar high for dependability, the RX also has the least reported problems in the entire Automotive Industry. The study is based off the number and type of problems owners have with their three-year-old vehicles.

In addition to being the overall winner, two Lexus vehicles earned the highest marks in their respective segments. The ES 350 ranked highest in the Entry Luxury Car segment, and the Lexus RX ranked highest in the Midsize Premium Crossover/SUV segment.
