Lexus GS 350
The 2018 Lexus GS tops Kelley Blue Book’s Best Resale Value Awards list for the luxury segment for the fourth year in a row. The source reports that the GS’s resale value at 36 months is about 46.5 percent of the original cost, and 32.5 percent at 60 months.
According to J.D. Power and Associates, the 2017 Lexus GS (2018 figures are not yet available) scored a perfect five out of five points for Overall Quality and Predicted Reliability. Additionally, it earned perfect scores in nearly all categories pertaining to mechanical components, including Powertrain Quality and Body and Interior Quality. Regarding design, it also earned perfect scores in Body and Interior Quality.
Audi A6
The A6 didn’t make Kelley Blue Book’s list of luxury cars with the best resale value, and exact resale values are hard to corroborate. However, the A7 did come in second place, though it’s about $20K more than the A6 and the GS 350.
J.D. Power and Associates gave the 2017 Audi A6 three out of five points for Overall Quality and Predicted Reliability. In fact, it failed to earn five points in any category.
