2020 Lexus GX 460

With a great talent for mastering challenging trails, the Lexus GX 460 gets its power from a 4.6-liter V8 engine paired with a six-speed sequential-shift automatic transmission churning out 301-hp and 329 lb-ft of torque. Benefitting from full-time all-wheel drive, the GX 460 also utilizes a Torsen® torque-sensing limited-slip center differential as well as a Kinetic Dynamic suspension system which lets each wheel move more independently, improving traction. An adaptive variable suspension, crawl control to maintain a slow and steady pace, and Multi-Terrain with mud, sand, rock, and mogul off-road driving modes are optional.

The Discovery is equipped with a 3.0-liter V6 engine mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission creating 335-hp and 332 lb-ft of torque. With an all-wheel drivetrain, this SUV earns all-terrain capability. Optional are a turbocharged 3.0-liter diesel V6 engine which makes 254-hp and 443 lb-ft of torque, All-Terrain Progress Control to maintain a steady speed, an air suspension system for additional ground clearance, and multiple driving modes with the Terrain Response® 2 system.

The Lexus GX 460 comes standard with three rows of seating, comfortably accommodating seven passengers, with the option for second-row captain’s chairs to seat six. The front seats include 10-way power adjustments while the second row brings added versatility with its 40/20/40-split capability. A power moonroof adds to the peaceful environment created in the Lexus’ cabin. A semi-aniline leather-trimmed interior with mahogany wood accents, heated and ventilated front seats, a folding-flat, 50/50-split third-row with power-recline, and a three-zone climate control system are available.

The Land Rover Discovery offers seating for five with its standard two-row design and provides the option for a third row in order to fit seven passengers.
