Review: 2018 Lexus LX 570
You never know when the mountains will call you, so when it’s time to get out of L.A. and head back to nature, you’ll want to be prepared with a full-size luxury SUV that’s as capable as it is stylish.

Performance

The Lexus LX 570 is equipped with a 5.7-liter V8 engine that makes 383 horsepower and 403 lb-ft of torque, with a 7,000-pound towing capacity. The engine is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters and comes standard with four-wheel drive.
Each model of the LX also has Adaptive Variable Suspension with Active Height Control, Crawl Control, and Turn Assist for traversing difficult terrain. A Panoramic View camera and Multi-Terrain Monitors help you see your surroundings with ease, while an integrated tow hitch receiver makes hauling recreational equipment a no-brainer. The LX comes standard with a roof rack with rails and has the option for Roof Rack Cross Bars, Paint Protection Film by 3M, and all-weather mats.

Comfort and Convenience

The LX features everything you’d expect in a luxury SUV, and then some. It seats up to eight passengers and comes with the following options for upholstery: black leather, semi-aniline black leather, parchment leather, semi-aniline parchment leather, and semi-aniline cabernet leather. Standard equipment includes a power moonroof, power-adjustable steering wheel, power-folding 50/50 third-row seat, running boards with courtesy lights, a power rear door, leather-trimmed interior, and a power sliding 60/40 middle row. You’ll also enjoy a standard Navigation System with 12.3-inch LCD multimedia screen, Bluetooth wireless tech, four-zone climate control, HomeLink universal transceiver, SmartAcces with push-button Start/Stop, auto-dimming interior mirrors, and the Lexus Enform Safety and Service Connect telematics system free for 10 years.
The Luxury Package adds semi-aniline leather-trimmed interior, heated and ventilated front and second-row seats, and four-zone Climate Concierge. Individual options include a color Heads-Up Display, Mark Levinson Surround Sound Audio, Qi-compatible wireless device charger, Cool Box, a heated wood- and leather-trimmed steering wheel, and Rear-Seat Entertainment System with two 11.6-inch displays, HDMI input, and wireless headphones.

Safety and Tech

Lexus is a pioneer in safety technology, so the automaker includes the Lexus Safety System+ standard on all models of the 2018 LX. The suite of features includes a Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection, All-Speed Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, Lane Departure Alert, and intelligent high-beam headlights. The luxury SUV also comes standard with a Blind Spot Monitor with Rear Cross-Traffic Alert and Intuitive Parking Assist.
