The 2019 Lexus UX will give drivers two engine options to choose from. The first engine option in the UX200 is a 2.0-liter inline-4 paired with a continuously variable transmission (CVT), powering the UX with 168-horsepower. The second engine option, perfect for commuting, is the UX 250h featuring a hybrid variation of the same 2.0-liter four- cylinder with two electric motors, one powering the front axle and one driving the rear, with a total output of 176 horsepower. Lexus calls this all-wheel-drive UX 250h system eAWD.
The UX 200 is estimated to achieve 33 MPG combined and 38 MPG combined for the UX 250h.
Features & Technology
This mighty machine packs tons of features in a neatly-wrapped, compact crossover package, measuring in at 177 inches from bumper to bumper. Within the cabin of the 2019 Lexus UX, you’ll be able to choose between four different colors and two different grain patterns with colors and patterns complementing the deep dashboard that gives drivers an exceptional view through the front windshield. The all-new UX will also offer Apple CarPlay and the latest version of Lexus’ infotainment system.
Safety
The 2019 Lexus UX will come standard with Lexus Safety System+, which includes automatic high beams, adaptive cruise control system, Lane Tracing Assist, and the first ever for Lexus, a new pedestrian detection safety system that will recognize pedestrians’ day or night. The system will even work for cyclists during daylight hours.
