2023-Lexus-RX

The All-New 2023 Lexus RX

For almost a decade, the Lexus RX has remained a big seller on the market by carrying over similar specs and features from past models. As surprising as it may sound, this familiarization strategy has worked well for the brand. However, the company stated not long ago that the new 2023 Lexus RX would be an all-new, redesigned model. In other words, this new model will bring a redesigned Lexus RX with new features, trim levels, safety options, and colors. more As your reliable Lexus dealership in El Monte, California, Longo Lexus brings you all the details we know so far. If you'd like an in-person look at past RX models or any other Lexus vehicle, feel free to visit us. Overview 2023 Lexus RX The new Lexus RX is only months away, and while the company hasn't disclosed key specifications such as the SUV's fuel economy or battery life for the electric version, we know that significant changes have been made to the vehicle's powertrain, exterior and interior styling, grille, running lights, and infotainment system. The Lexus RX will have four powertrain options and will be introducing a plug-in hybrid version. Exterior styling has been reformed, resulting in a new grille version and a full-width taillight bar on the back. It will retain the iconic L-shaped running lights that are a notable feature of many Lexus models. This new SUV will now come with a sharper, more defined look. Regarding interior comfort and styling, this redesign brings a luxurious air with more sophisticated accommodations, a massive 14-inch infotainment touch screen perfectly angled to the driver's direction for more accessibility, and all the ultimate tech features. As always, upper trim levels feature more premium options. With past RX models, customers could choose a two- or three-row SUV, but this 2023 version will come as a standard two-row, five-passenger SUV. It's rumored that a three-row model is in the making and could be offered to the public in late 2023. Pricing, Rumored Release Date, and Recommended Models The Lexus RX is expected to go on sale in late 2022 as a 2023 model, but there's yet to be an official statement from the company disclosing pricing options. However, if we use past models as indicators, we can suggest an estimated MSRP between $47,100 and $57,200. We expect the Lexus RX to offer several powertrain options and trim levels, including the regular F Sport. Our recommended model is the RX5000h F Sport, which gets a hybrid powertrain for an output of 367 horsepower and an all-wheel drive system. Engine and Transmission As you may already know, this new version of the RX will come with nothing less than a quartet of powertrains. The base model, the RX350, will use a turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine and an eight-speed automatic transmission with 275 horsepower — front-wheel drive is standard, but you can opt for all-wheel drive. The second model, the Hybrid RX350h, combines a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine with electric motors and a continuously variable automatic transmission that gets 246 horsepower. This trim level uses all-wheel drive as standard. The next model, the RX500h, is part of the upper level and combines electric power with a turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine for an output of 367 horsepower. This model uses Lexus Direct4 to direct the power to all four wheels. Last, the hybrid plug-in model, the RX450h+, is expected to enter the lineup later in 2023. While the company hasn't released much information about it, we expect it to have the same 302 horsepower found in the Lexus NX450h and Toyota RAV4 Prime SUVs. Interior The 2023 RX features a more contemporary design with textured fabric segments on the upper door panels, open-wood trim for the RX350 model, and classy-looking ambient lighting. The RX500h F Sport model boasts a more heavily altered front seat, aluminum pedals, a black interior trim, and paddle shifters attached to the steering wheel. Although this new version will be available as the standard two-row SUV, the company may introduce a three-row model in 2023. Alternatively, it could revamp or replace the RX L with a fresh and redesigned version boasting three-row seating capability. Infotainment System and Connectivity The 2023 all-new RX comes with a highly intuitive interface that lets you connect in ways you never imagined. The interface uses the Intelligent Assistant integration, which allows you to control most features with your voice — what's even better, this integration gets smarter with time as it learns about your patterns and preferences. Other equally impressive features are cloud-based navigation for real-time information with more accurate directions and profiles to create personalized settings for different drivers. All that is available in a 14.1-inch HD touch screen, intuitively located for the driver's comfort. Regarding the sound, the SUV uses Mark Levinson PurePlay Surround Sound with 21 speakers distributed throughout the vehicle's cabin. Safety and Driver-Assistance Features Lexus is known for being a brand that takes safety seriously. That's why all its vehicles come with many standard driver-assistance features, most of which have received high safety ratings. The Lexus RX offers many of those safety features, including a highly developed and intuitive pre-collision system. This system can even detect pedestrians and motorcyclists in its path and slow the vehicle. The system combines support technology and active safety equipment to keep those inside and outside of the car safe. Lexus admitted that this relatively advanced safety system is the most comprehensive one it's ever included in one of its vehicles. Warranty Coverage While the Lexus limited warranty matches many of its rivals, including the BMW X3 and Volvo XC60, its powertrain warranty surpasses most of them. It's important to note that hybrid models get a longer coverage, but complimentary scheduled maintenance only lasts one year. The manufacturer offers several types of warranty coverage. The limited warranty covers the first four years or 50,000 miles (whichever comes first). The powertrain warranty covers the first six years or 70,000 miles. Hybrid models are covered for the first eight years or 100,000 miles, and complimentary maintenance is covered for one year or 10,000 miles. If you want to be one of the first to know when the 2023 all-new RX is arriving at our dealership, or you'd like to place an early order, please get in touch with one of our team members for customized attention.

Concept: 2020 Lexus LC Convertible

Concept: 2020 Lexus LC Convertible

The Lexus LC Convertible concept is a redesigned LC Coupe transitioned into an open-air roadster. Lexus has yet to confirm whether this concept vehicle will actually go into production, but if we all get our wish, this stunning vehicle will be heading to dealerships by the end of 2019. Longo Lexus, located in El Monte, enthusiastically await its’ arrival. Design The LC Convertible concept car is pretty much the same size as the coupe, with slight adjustments consisting of 0.4 inches longer and 0.2 inches lower. The vehicle exterior design incorporates sophisticated body contours with a slightly taller and flatter rear deck to accommodate the convertible top. If and when this goes into production, it is unknown whether the top will be a soft or a hard top, but the assumption is the fabric roof would be more easily accommodated in the tight vehicle rear. The concept vehicle interior features a black dash with yellow contrast stitch highlights and exclusive white leather seating with gold accent stitching. Performance We would presume that the LC Convertible would use the same 5.0-liter V8 engine as the current coupe. This powerful engine would be paired with a 10-speed direct-shift automatic transmission with paddle shifters utilizing a rear-wheel drivetrain and generating 471-hp and 398 lb-ft of torque. The 2019 Lexus LC 500 achieves 0 – 60 mph in just 4.4 seconds and has a top speed of 168 mph. The belief would be that the 2020 LC Convertible would be a bit heavier with the convertible mechanism and frame reinforcement, therefore assuming that the new convertible will reach 0 – 60 mph in 4.7 seconds yet will have the capability to maintain the same top speed of 168 mph. Pricing Since Lexus has not confirmed that the LC Convertible will go into production, no pricing estimates have been released. However, based on the fact that the 2019 LC Coupe 500 starts at an MSRP of $92,300*, the expectation is that the 2020 LC Convertible model would have a starting MSRP around $100,000*. * MSRP excludes the Delivery, Processing, and Handling Fee of $975 for cars (Yaris, Yaris iA, Yaris Liftback, 86, Corolla, Corolla iM, Corolla HB, Camry, Camry HV, Prius LB, Prius c, Prius Prime, Avalon HV), $1,095 for small/medium trucks, SUV’s and van (C-HR, RAV4, RAV4 HV, Highlander, Highlander HV, 4Runner, Sienna, Tacoma), $1,495 for large SUV’s (Sequoia, Land Cruiser), and $1,495 for large truck (Tundra). (Historically, vehicle manufacturers and distributors have charged a separate fee for processing, handling and delivering vehicles to dealerships. Toyota’s charge for these services is called a “Deliver, Processing and Handling Fee” and is based on the value of the processing, handling and delivery services Toyota provides as well as Toyota’s overall pricing structure. Toyota may make a profit on the Delivery, Processing and Handling Fee.) Excludes taxes, license, title and available or regionally required equipment. The Delivery, Processing and Handling Fee in AL, AR, FL, GA, LA, MS, NC, OK, SC and TX will be higher. The published prices do not apply to Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Actual dealer price will vary.
