Safety
Lexus LX 570
Because Lexus doesn’t mess around when your family’s safety is at hand, it has equipped the new LX 570 with advanced safety features – standard on every model. That means you won’t pay extra for any safety features, including the advanced pre-collision system with automatic braking and pedestrian detection, which can spot objects in the way and stop the car on its own. It’s often that split-second of reaction time that can lead to major damage, so this system could save lives. Additionally, the LX 570 has a blind-spot monitor, lane-departure warning, dynamic radar cruise control, 10 airbags, and an alert system that automatically sends for help in the event of a collision.
Infiniti QX80
The QX80 has driver assistance technologies, but the Driver Assistance Package – which includes blind-spot monitor and lane-departure warning – will cost extra. Additionally, while the Infiniti SUV has a pre-collision warning system, it does not have automatic braking. Other safety features on the QX80 include front and rear parking sensors and a backup collision intervention system for further parking assistance.

Lexus LX 570
Each model of the 2017 LX 570 has four-zone climate control, power moonroof, tilting/telescoping steering wheel, 14-way adjustable driver’s seat, leather interior, and 12.3-inch widescreen display in the center stack for displaying navigation and entertainment. The three-row, seven-seater also has power-operated third-row seating that can flip up for cargo space with a flat floor, or shift forward or backward for added space without losing passenger capacity.
You’ll also love the infotainment system with Lexus Remote Touch, AM/FM/CD, HD radio, Bluetooth, USB input, and a 9-speaker audio system. There’s also the option to upgrade to the 19-speaker Mark Levinson audio system, rear entertainment system with dual 11.2-inch screens, built-in refrigerated box in the center console, heated and ventilated seats, and wood and leather trim.
Infiniti QX80
The 2017 QX80 has leather seating, three-zone climate control, moonroof, tilting/telescoping steering wheel, and surround view camera. For entertainment, it has AM/FM/CD, USB port, Bluetooth, and a Bose audio system. It also comes with a one-year subscription to Infiniti’s telematics and concierge services. Available features include leather and wood accents, rear entertainment with 7-inch monitors, and 22-inch wheels.
Engine and Body
Lexus LX 570
The 2017 LX 570 is powered by a 5.7-liter V8 engine that makes 383 horsepower (and uses it efficiently) and 402 lb-ft of torque. Each model has all-wheel drive and 8-speed automatic transmission.
You’ll notice that the Lexus SUV handles very well for a ute its size, handling corners and curves with grace. Luxurious as the ride feels, it has a body-on-frame chassis like a full-size truck would, as well as a three-mode independent suspension setup that gives it the ability to handle any terrain.
Infiniti QX80
The 2017 QX80 has a 5.6-liter V8 engine that makes 400 horsepower and 413 lb-ft of torque. All-wheel drive will cost you extra, and the engine is mated to a 7-speed automatic transmission.
While the Infiniti ute handles well on the road and has a similar body-on-frame construction, it lacks the suspension to seem confident off the pavement, so this one’s for city slickers only.
