Los Angeles Comparison Lexus LX570 vs Infiniti QX80
Los Angeles is a city that likes to draw attention, so what better ride for an Angeleno than a luxury SUV? Drivers who want a head-turner that’s more than a pretty face have a few options, but there’s only one that has an L.A. face with an off-road body.
Here’s our side-by-side comparison of the 2017 Lexus LX 570 and the 2017 Infiniti QX80:

Safety

Lexus LX 570

Because Lexus doesn’t mess around when your family’s safety is at hand, it has equipped the new LX 570 with advanced safety features – standard on every model. That means you won’t pay extra for any safety features, including the advanced pre-collision system with automatic braking and pedestrian detection, which can spot objects in the way and stop the car on its own. It’s often that split-second of reaction time that can lead to major damage, so this system could save lives. Additionally, the LX 570 has a blind-spot monitor, lane-departure warning, dynamic radar cruise control, 10 airbags, and an alert system that automatically sends for help in the event of a collision.

Infiniti QX80

The QX80 has driver assistance technologies, but the Driver Assistance Package – which includes blind-spot monitor and lane-departure warning – will cost extra. Additionally, while the Infiniti SUV has a pre-collision warning system, it does not have automatic braking. Other safety features on the QX80 include front and rear parking sensors and a backup collision intervention system for further parking assistance.

Features

Lexus LX 570

Each model of the 2017 LX 570 has four-zone climate control, power moonroof, tilting/telescoping steering wheel, 14-way adjustable driver’s seat, leather interior, and 12.3-inch widescreen display in the center stack for displaying navigation and entertainment. The three-row, seven-seater also has power-operated third-row seating that can flip up for cargo space with a flat floor, or shift forward or backward for added space without losing passenger capacity.
You’ll also love the infotainment system with Lexus Remote Touch, AM/FM/CD, HD radio, Bluetooth, USB input, and a 9-speaker audio system. There’s also the option to upgrade to the 19-speaker Mark Levinson audio system, rear entertainment system with dual 11.2-inch screens, built-in refrigerated box in the center console, heated and ventilated seats, and wood and leather trim.

Infiniti QX80

The 2017 QX80 has leather seating, three-zone climate control, moonroof, tilting/telescoping steering wheel, and surround view camera. For entertainment, it has AM/FM/CD, USB port, Bluetooth, and a Bose audio system. It also comes with a one-year subscription to Infiniti’s telematics and concierge services. Available features include leather and wood accents, rear entertainment with 7-inch monitors, and 22-inch wheels.

Engine and Body

Lexus LX 570

The 2017 LX 570 is powered by a 5.7-liter V8 engine that makes 383 horsepower (and uses it efficiently) and 402 lb-ft of torque. Each model has all-wheel drive and 8-speed automatic transmission.
You’ll notice that the Lexus SUV handles very well for a ute its size, handling corners and curves with grace. Luxurious as the ride feels, it has a body-on-frame chassis like a full-size truck would, as well as a three-mode independent suspension setup that gives it the ability to handle any terrain.

Infiniti QX80

The 2017 QX80 has a 5.6-liter V8 engine that makes 400 horsepower and 413 lb-ft of torque. All-wheel drive will cost you extra, and the engine is mated to a 7-speed automatic transmission.
While the Infiniti ute handles well on the road and has a similar body-on-frame construction, it lacks the suspension to seem confident off the pavement, so this one’s for city slickers only.

Los Angeles Review Lexus GX460
It’s rare to find a luxury vehicle that can handle a rugged lifestyle, but drivers in Los Angeles will find exactly that in the 2017 Lexus GX 460.
The full-size SUV isn’t merely a means to get from point A to point B, but rather a vehicle that can take you anywhere you want to go, including off road. There are lots of other reasons to love the GX 460, so check out our full review:

STYLING AND INTERIOR

The seven-passenger 2017 GX is no wallflower, with a tall stance and a squared body that make it look like it was made for off-roading and a body-on-frame construction that confirms it. It wears the Lexus signature spindle grille with ease, and has an all-new Sport Design Package that adds a stand-out front fascia and 18-inch gunmetal alloy wheels.
Due to its height, it’s an easy ute to enter and exit, plus it has easy-access seating and the option for second-row captain’s chairs if you don’t need that seventh seat. Additionally, 10-way power front seats, NuLuxe interior trim, roof rails, and a rear spoiler are all standard features. You can opt to add wood and leather accents, leather seating, and touch-button folding third-row seats.

FEATURES

The 2017 GX is equipped with standard dual-zone climate control, power moonroof, adjustable steering wheel, and an infotainment system featuring smartphone and Bluetooth connectivity, 9 audio speakers, 8-inch touchscreen, dual USB inputs, and Siri Eyes Free. Optional features include three-zone climate control with air filter, LED foglights, and a 17-speaker Mark Levinson audio system. If you’re planning on taking some road trips, you may also consider the dual-screen rear-seat entertainment system with DVD/CD, wireless remote, wireless headphones, and an AC outlet.

PERFORMANCE AND ENGINE

The GX 460 was built with off-road terrain in mind, with a rigid chassis and the Kinetic Dynamic Suspension System that let it traverse dirt, snow, and boulders with ease. The Lexus-exclusive suspension system uses stiff anti-roll bars to minimize lean on the pavement, but allow for increased suspension on uneven paths. The four-wheel drive ute also has a torque-sensing, limited-slip center differential that ensures power is evenly distributed to the front and rear axles for optimal uphill performance, as well as active traction control that keeps the SUV grounded.
Under the hood, the GX 460 is packing a 4.6-liter V8 engine that makes 301 horsepower and 329 lb-ft of torque, mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission.

SAFETY

True to Lexus form, the GX puts safety front and center, with a 10-airbag system, active front headrests, power-assisted braking, LED headlights and taillights, Smart Stop technology, backup camera, and Lexus Enform Safety Connect all standard. You also have the option to add active driver assistance technology, including blind-spot monitor, lane-departure alert, collision mitigation, and high-speed, dynamic radar cruise control.

Lexus owners take great care of their cars because a fine piece of machinery needs to stay well oiled. As such, Lexus stands by its pre-owned vehicles with a certification program that ensures buyers are getting a car that’s just like new.
Drivers looking for a used luxury vehicle in El Monte, California should look into L/Certified cars at Longo Lexus. We’ve got a great variety of inventory, and your representative will be able to tell you anything you’d like to know about each used vehicle, thanks to the Lexus L/Certified process.
Here’s what L/Certification means for your vehicle:

HIGH CERTIFICATION STANDARDS

When you purchase an L/Certified vehicle, you’re buying a car that’s met Lexus’s high standards for quality and safety. Each certified pre-owned car must have less than 70,000 miles and 6 model years or less of age. Additionally, all used vehicles sold by authorized dealers undergo a 161-point inspection to earn certification. During the inspection, qualified technicians look at each and every component of the car – from the engine to the glovebox light – to ensure that your car is as close to new as possible.

COMPETITIVE WARRANTY

Lexus is one of the only automakers that offers an unlimited mileage warranty and complimentary maintenance on its certified used vehicles, ensuring drivers a little extra peace of mind. The 2-year L/Certified Limited Warranty covers any and all repairs and replacements you need after normal use of your vehicle, with no deductible. This includes engine and transmission work, brake repair, fuel system maintenance, heating and cooling systems, and electrical, among others. Drivers may also obtain the Limited Warranty Supplement to cover items not included under the regular warranty, such as exterior wear and tear and accessories.
Lexus offers complimentary maintenance for two years or 20,000 miles, covering your factory-recommended services from the day of purchase or lease.
The warranty also covers trip interruption reimbursement for lodging and meals in case you need repairs away from home, and loaner car coverage if your car will be serviced for 8 hours or longer.

ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE

Each L/Certified vehicle comes with Lexus Roadside Assistance, available to you 24 hours a day. This provides you with help if you have a flat, run out of gas, need towing or locksmith assistance, need a jumpstart, or get into a minor accident. The complimentary Roadside Assistance app ensures that you have access to help whenever you need it, even if your car’s electrical system is out.

AVAILABLE FINANCING

Lexus offers financing on L/Certified vehicles, whether you’re looking to buy or lease. Talk to your Longo Lexus dealer about your needs, and how a certified Lexus pre-owned could be perfect for you.
